I am having a problem with my battery.After winter storage I charged my battery with a charger dropped her in and fired her up.Everything seemed fine on test cruise but the next time I tried to start her,nothing and only 8v on interior gauge.Put multimeter on battery10.25v.Touched charger to battery on sloww charge,immediately voltmeter inside car jumps to 12 and will start right up.is now charging at around 14settles to 13 and I turn car off.wait an hour starts again no prob.but overnight is another story.Come next morning voltage has dropped to 10.I haven't had a chance to drive the car regularly but I did go for a 20 mi cruise and still not egnough to click the solenoid the next morning.Also after recharging the slightest thing seems to kill the battery voltage.Courtesy lights or the ign switch on and you can watch trhe voltage meter drop.It only seems to crank when voltage is between 11 & 13 v,any less nothing any more,such as in engine start mode or even 30 amps on the charger and the solenoid clicks really fast and no crank.Thanks for any help,I'm lacking formal mechanics training but I do have a good tech manual

Bummer! When you had the car in storage, did you go out ocassionally and start the car and let it run for a short period of time. Was your car stored outside and how cold did it get where you are?

 

oct to may.I didn't start it for about 3 mo.It must be the battery.I was confused because the charger brought it up to 12 volts and it was starting but now even with a 12v charge as soon as i click the starter and listen to the solenoid click the voltage drops down to 10.I also figured out how to use the search effectively.Thanx
