motor messed up again

I don't know what could be wrong with it now. When i started it it felt fine and everything was nice and smooth. Then all the sudden it started to feel like it wanted to die out and the carburator was spitting fuel and air back up through the unit. It starts but it is really rough. I think its just the timing because its a brand new motor and i'm just really pissed so if anybody can help me out on what could be wrong give a some ideas. THANKS

if you think it's out of time i think the first thing to do would be to check or set the timing and see if that helps.

I seriously doubt it's the timing. If you set it right and tightened it down and haven't messed with it, it hasn't changed, so leave it alone. If you've already dinked with it, put it back and leave it alone.

Sounds to me like an exhaust rocker nut backed off.

If it's a new motor, after checking all fuses, I'd 1) at least check the timing, 2) Pull the distributor cap and check under there for something wrong, 3) trace all wires and make sure nothing cooked on a hot new header. 4) if all else checks out, pull a valve cover, and look for problems, 5) do a compression check.

Good Luck
