Block Filler???

Another guy on the boards suggested I use block filler in the water jackets in order to seal the hole I ground into it. Has anyone ever done this?? If so did it work?? Where can I get block filler?

I don't know all the uses of block filler, but the only time I have heard of it used is on drag cars that only run for a short amount of time. It strengthens the block so that tolerances can be tighter.

We have used Moroso block filler on a roundy round sportsman camaro with no ill efects, filled to right below freeze plugs. But if the hole is near a wear surface or stressed part of engine, main caps, etc. Ths is one big if? Look for a industrial shop in your area that does shafts or pumps, and decide if you want to spend the $$$$

any machine shops that build engines should be able to fill it.
right, fill up to the freeze plugs and you should have no problems on the street.
