http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...27&prmenbr=361

Well its a good deal for the price but i got some qeustions

1. will i be able to get a manifold to mount a TB on it?

2. will my 700 r4 be to little for what this puts out?

3. if a need a new trans what kind of 4 spd auto will do the job?

4. will this be the same size externally as my 305?

5. will i need a new rear end?

6. will this be a bad/impossible car for N2O (just a small shot like a 50-75)

7. anything esle you think would be a problem or watever feel free to add in. comments suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

1. Yes, although its expensive (though not as bad as the SDPC Vortec TBI Base manifold): GM Performance Parts Vortec TBI Manifold

2. Yeah, it should be able to handle it... But I'd freshen it up and put a shift kit in and maybe a corvette 3-4 servo...

4. Yup, exterior dimensions of the long block will be exactly the same.

5. If you have a 10-bolt should survive just fine on the street (as everyone else says, just don't put slicks on it). Might want to upgrade to a posi though (if you have the L03, you probably have an open 2.73). If its a 9-bolt, you're set.

6. Should be okay with a small dose, though I don't have any experience with N2O.

7. You'll be choking it with your 305 TBI.. You'd probably want to get a bigger throttle body (from a 454?) along with the larger injectors.. You'll need to be able to do some tuning to get that one to run correctly, so be prepared for that.

Thats all I've got for now...Hope it helps.

yea i kno i need a bigger tbi way ahead of you

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...22&prmenbr=361

and fuel pump

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...96&prmenbr=361

and yea mine is a 2.73 open diff and dont worry about slicks, i like my axles straight and in one piece.

im still worried about the 700 r4 not being able to stand the power increase i would get a new converter and i want a aluminum driveshaft too.

and would this manifold fit?
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...98&prmenbr=361

part number:350-3704

or will the gm one be better?

Well, Edelbrock doesn't make a Vortec TBI manifold.. You'd have to get a regular square-bore vortec edelbrock manifold and get one of the square-bore to TBI adapter plates (might check the TBI forum, there's some guys on there running TBI's on regular manifolds with those adapters).. The GM one is ready to accept a TBI unit..

Its the part of your transmission that applies pressure to the 2-4 band. A corvette servo or one of the newer billet servos can help prevent a flare-up on the 2-3 shift as well as firm up the shift.

You can find all kinds of 700R4 goodies here:
