305 tpi swap in luv truck, starts only when cold no trouble codes
full tune-up.everthing has power,double checked everthing,plugged up egr and all vacum lines no canister.
thanks for any info.new coolant sensor,tryed new mass air flow sensor.

 

The first bit of information to learn would be what is lacking: Cranking, ignition, or fuel.

I can presume it is cranking, or you probably would have stated otherwise. Given that, you need to determine if the spark is getting all the way top the plugs while cranking hot. Ignition modules and pickup coils have a nasty habit of failing when hot, then acting completely normal after cooling off.

If you have strong spark at the plugs, is the fuel pump relay operating when you first turn on the ignition (for two seconds)?

"All vacuum lines plugged?" Does that include the line to the FPR?

 

thanks for the info vader yes it cranks, i will have to check for spark when hot, fpr has vacum, i will check coils on sunday
and get back. thanks again

 

well the problem is that the fuel pressure is not holding so since it is not holding, the cold start injector does not activate when the motor is warm but when i hot wire the cold start injector the motor starts, so now i have to check for a bad fpr or open injector.
