Should there be a lip inside the first cam bearing?

I got my block back from the machine shop the other day, and they installed the cam bearings for me. There is a lip around the inside edge of the first cam bearing, which is preventing me from inserting the cam. None of the other bearings have this lip, and I was curious if it's supposed to be there. If so, should I just keep working the cam until it goes in? That sounds a little shady...

no lip it should be smooth or straight shot for the cam to slide in. my guess they made a burr when they drove the cam bearing in. pretty common thing to have happen. they should of checked for it and removed it. i use a pocket kinfe to take the burr off when i make one.

Thanks, ede, I'm sure you're right about the lip being a burr. It's uneven and doesn't look like it should be there. I'll just remove it, per your advice.
