advice on buying new distrib / coil

I'm going to order a new complete ignition system for my '88, and I want something that will drop straight in with no B.S.

MSD? Accel? others?

Also, has anyone noticed (slightly) better MPG with a new ignition setup? Thanks.

MSD is kick butt! But if its carbed i would go with accel.
