I gutted my cat and put a hooker catback exhaust on last Sat. Started it up and it ran great for about 10min. I pulled into a friends drive and smoke started rolling out from under the hood. Looked like it was comming from the intake down onto the exhaust and burning off. Smelled like antifreeze. So I pulled the intake and replaced the gaskets (looked like a visable crack just where the problem was). Put it all back and it still starts smokeing after it warms up. But now there is no leak comming from the intake but almost looks like it is comming from between the valve cover and the exhaust manifold??!?! you can see where it is boiling off. How would coolant come from there? If it was a head gasket wouldn't it come from between the head and the block? I just can't figure it out. I replaced the heater hoses and they are dry as a bone. Also checked where the knock sensor is and its dry too. I think I'm going to take it to a shop tomorrow and just tell them to fix it.

 

just a guess but did you crack the temp sender in the head or the fan switch? i'd take them out and check, if you cracked them they should break off when you try to remove them, then you can post with a new problem.
