First of all...thanks for reading my post..any help is greatly appreciated...

1983 camaro...305 bored .030 over ...flat top pistons...upgraded cam(dont remember specs right now) quadrajunk carb(550 cfm) headers.....stock HEI ignition....

no computers....nothing fancy...nothing special...just motor

heres the problem...IT WONT START

the car cranks but wonts start....verified fuel...air is a no-brainer...

but i cant get spark...ive replaced the ignition module...twice now...the solonoid in the distributor...wires are alll good..plugs are clean and good...checked all wiring(very limited wiring...again nothing special here)

i cant find anything wrong...battery is strong..car cranks without a problem...except for the not starting part..

want to get it running...any help? thanks again

 

wuts ur timing set at? u could be 180 out . thats why mine wasnt firing. do u have power at ur coil? distributer wires hooked up right?

 

Timing was set fine..the car has been sitting in my driveway for months..started twice a week..let it warm up to normal temp....and shut it down..could timing have mysteriously come out of whack...i have power to coil..all wires are hooked up like they should be....replaced cap and rotor too

 

How about your pick-up coil in the distributor?

 

replaced it....starting tro think i got bad parts..lol

 

Have you checked the wiring from the ignition coil to the distributor for continuity. Not just the one going to the distributor cap.

 

yep checked it.....all good...sorry i havent listed what ive checked..im trying to remember it....
