Hey guys, it's running down the side if the tranny, so it has to be coming from the top. I ripped the intake off, and the valvecovers, but the gaskets were fine, and the RTV on the back was solid...where would you guess? Could it be the valve cover was held down tight enough and it was spraying out of the back? We are talking about a LOT of oil being split here, not a small tinny leak.

Your talking about the pressure gauge on the back of the block (That tells the computer that everything is okay and to keep sending fuel, lol), right? I didn't feel any oil around those parts, although they were high suspect at first. Does that much oil really come through there? I figured it wouldn't, but could always be wrong.

Agreed, check the oil pressure sender and/or fittings......... and yes, because it is under full pressure

That would be my guess if the back intake gasket looked okay. My suggestion would be to pull off the sending unit and the tube it connects to, clean them up good, and re-install them with some teflon tape on all the threads.

And since you currently have it all apart, do like ward said, go ahead and teflon tape the sending unit. Then reinstall everything, and make sure you leave it clean afterwards. If the leak comes back, you should be able to see where it is coming from.
