Can't pinpoint anything in the wiring diagrams, and I'm not real familiar with Q-jet cars, but there should only be four things on that side of the engine, The O2, the temp sender for the guage, on some cars, a wire going to the steering box, and that wire going to the proportioning valve under the master cylinder.

As always, I could have forgotten something, and I may be wrong..

yea....i figure that i would be able to see where it goes but i tried to pinpoint anything in reach of it.....also its kinda melted a bit on the conector wich makes me think it was near the manifold....could it just be an extra unused wire?

That's probably the temp gauge sending unit wire... the sender is between the #1 and #3 plugs
