i went to the dealer to get some of the hoses that run from the back of the block, near the distributor up to the Throttle body and then to the fuel cannister, over to the driver side valve cover and to the vacuum gizmo on the fuel rail on the manifold. they discontinued the making of them. these things were on an 85 and 86 and out in Arizona. i suppose you can imagine where this is going... they snapped like twigs. and i am told the only place to get some are in a junk yard. my only problem with that is they too will be brittle, any suggestions? does any company make these aftermarket. or will i have to jerry rig something? thanks!

 

You can get all that stuff at parts stores. Even the little plastic line with the little rubbery ends. It's easiest to get, believe it or not, at places like Auto Zone and CSK and Advance.

Go back to the area where they keep the fuel filters and PCV valves and stuff like that; you'll see it hanging on cards. You just buy some line in bulk, and the fittings you need, and go to town on it.

 

You can buy generic vacuum hose and some plastic t fittings. You should be able to make your own little vacuum system with those. Just make sure you dont leave out any check valves that may be in the system.
