swap TPI for Intake/Carb

I am seriously debating swapping my tpi unit for a good intake and carb combo. I was just wondering if I did so would I still be able to use my same distributor or would I have to change that out also???

As stated in the Tech Article on this subject, and quite a few threads over the years, you have to change the distributor.
