My car has been throwing me a code 44 (O2 sensor lean) and my car is running rich. I hooked it up to a voltometer, and got .342V. On the facts page, it says the voltage should be between .850 and .900 at WOT, and the lowest should be .300. I just paid 40 bucks for a new delco one, and am getting the same voltage. What do I do next?

obvious question, perhaps, but have you gone over all the wiring and connectors to ensure they are clean, in good condition (no insulation chaffed, connectors fully seated, etc.), and did you clear the code after you replaced the sensor?

If you replaced the o2 sensor, did you reset the computer? This is a VERY commonly overlooked step when replacing a sensor. I work at auto zone and people are always thinking they got a bad sensor. What you need to do is completely disconnect the battery for about an hour. Reconnect it and see if the problem clears. Disconnecting the battery for about an hour will reset the computer.

maybe you should find out what is causing it to run rich before you start chasing ghosts. you could very well have a problem with the mass air flow sensor. an exhaust leak can also cause this condition. too many veriables here to pick just one. also, don't use the readings you got from your volt meter for the O2 sensor, it should be moving all the time.
