Can someone Please help me with Distrubtor Pick up coil testing

Well in past post We've concluded that it has to be the distributor that has gone bad....

I'm having troubble with testing it to see ... first of all it LOOKS pretty dang rough kinda rusty and when I turn the housing it's pretty rough and kinda gritty sounding

second I've tested the OHMS and it's about 500-600 but the article that I read said that if it changs at all when you move the pickup wires that it need's to be replaced....well it dose it changes about 100 most of the time but I cant really tell if it's that or I'm loosing connection to the pick up wires ... but it seems to be changing

and last it also says to check it with one lead in the pick up and the other to a "ground" I did this and nothing happens at all... it says that it should be Infinity

is there any better whay to check this ......also how likely is it that the Ign. moduel might be bad ((last post I was explained that I am not getting spark with new coil plugs cap rotor wires))

what do you make of that???
somehting else that I can do to check it??
ANY info would help
Thanks!!

PU Coil should be 800 ohms, +/- 25 ohms, and not change when the wire are wiggled.

Of you see crust in it, get a new one. Sure sounds like yours is bad.
