How do I tighten the throttle cable?
My car is a little laggy, I think the throttle cable might be getting lose from age, how do I tighten it? If you have pictures or anything, it would be appreciated.
You can't tighten it. If it is loose due to age, you have to replace it. It's pretty straightforward. Remove cable from carb (if applicable) Then remove panel underhang thingy from below dash, above your feet when driving. Then lay on the seat on your back with your head by the pedal. This allows easy and comfortable (relatively) access to the pedal. Then you unhook the cable from the pedal, go to the firewall and use a crowbar to disconnect it from the firewall.
The cable itself is about $14.

I've worked on 300ZXs and you can tighten the throttle cable on them reletively easily. Along with Supras. I was told that you can tighten 90% of throttle cables, so why is it different for camaros?

Most american vehicles don't have provisions for adjusting the throttle cable. Many foreign vehicles do. No idea why. I don't feel the need for adjustability on my throttle cable. Basically, if things are bad enough that it needs adjusted, I'd want to replace it anyway, because it has probably streched.
