new key for 91 firebird
I recently bought a 91 firebird.
The previous owner gave me one key.
Where can I get another key with VIN ?

Do you mean he gave you one key for the ignition and one for the doors or just one for the ignition? For the ignition, if the key has the pellet in it you will have to go to the dealership and get one there. If you don't have a key for the doors, some locksmiths can do it with the VIN or again go to the dealership.

Thank you for the information.
Previous owner gave me one key for the ignition.
I don't have any key for the door, so I leave it open.
Actually, I didn't know that there are separate keys for the ignition and door.

Good luck getting an ignition key made for a reasonable price. A couple weeks ago my brother and I went out of town (two seperate cars), and one morning at 5am he decides that he's just gonna take off for the 4 hour ride home without telling anyone with MY KEYS IN HIS GLOVE BOX. So, I call him up the next morning saying "Hey ASSH*LE, my f*cking keys are in your glovebox." This is on a Sunday so I just decide that i'm gonna wait till the next day, find the closeset GM dealer and get a set cut off my VIN. So then the guy at the parts counter says he's got bad news and proceeds to tell me since my car is 13 years old, GM no longer has record of the chip codes in the ignition key. So after a couple minutes of prying these guys minds about why GM would do such a ridiculus thing, the guy tells me that I can have the door key so I can at least get my shoes and socks out of my car. So I drive my grandparents minivan 30 minutes back to their house just to realize that the door key that he cut for me didn't even work.....SONOFVA... Anyway, he told me what would have to happen was the column would have to be partially taken aparts and hooked up to a machine to scan through all the resistances to find out which chip I needed. But I never did get that done so I don't know what it would have cost but I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap.

Thank you for the information.
With my previous cars, I was locked out of my car with my key left inside the car several times.
At least I don't have to worry about that with this car since I don't have door key.
