Removing ECM - What all is required?

Okay I have decided to ditch the computer this summer. I no longer have to worry about inspection because my bud works at an inspection shop. Anyways, heres what I know I need right now.

1.) New Carb
2.) Vacuum advance distributor
3.) Remove smog crap
4.) Headers
5.) Torque converter lockup switch (inside car, maybe on shifter)

Thats about all I can think of that I need. Any special tools? Also, how do I Actually remove or disconnect the ECM? I dont want a check engine light glaring at me forever...

7mm socket for the 3 passenger side hush panel screws, then remove the two 7mm screws that hold the ECM carriage, and it will drop down. Use a flat tip screwdriver to pry up the little steel clips on the ECM connectors, and it's done. Just make sure you don't pull on the wires when pulling the connectors out.
