Gettin' a little bit of hesitation

Put a new distributor in...car fires up right away! and passed the sniffer with no AIR.
Some things I noticed:
a. Car sounds a little different
b. A little bit of hesitation is evident around 2100 RPM. When it hits 3 it feels like a motorcycle powerband and I get full throtle feel.
Are these symptoms because I didn't get the timing done after the distributor swap. The teeth on the cam/distributor lined up perfectly but I think the distributor assembly may be positioned a little differently than before. Also noticed that the car warms up fast now (but it has been in storage for 4 months)...and this could be a question of old gas...
I want to get the timing done just to make it bang on. Stock for my car is 6deg, should I go higher with my mods??
Thanks!

Steve

if the Dist houseing is rotated in a differnt direction It will change your Initial Timing.

And if You swapped out dists, even if you makred the position You are probrably off a little bit, Its fairly precise.

Go ahead and time it up and your problem should Go away.

Ill guess that your running a little retarded ( arent we all? )

If I turn the distributor CLOCKWISE, will this adnave my timing or retard it? I'm guessing advance but I'm not sure.

Thanks
