Oil hole in rod bearing
Hello to everybody,
I´m just in the process of replacing my rodbearings. My old ones look like the attached picture ( with the marked hole inside ). My new bearings ( Felpro ) don´t have any holes inside. Is this right or do I have the wrong ones ? ( They came in a kit with a new crank and new mainbearings )

That hole is only for REALLY OLD rods; they had a sort of groove cut in them across the cap face, that spurted a splash of oil onto the cyl wall when that hole lined up with the feed hole as the crank rotated. They stopped using that during the 60s sometime. So your rods don't have that, and your bearings don't need it. So don't worry.
