oil leak

I just changed my oil pan and gasket, but i think the gasket didnt seal right at the back of the engine. it leaks pretty bad when the car is running, and doesnt leak at all when the engine is off. It was a pain in the *** messing with the oil pan gaskets, i was wondering if there is anyway I could just loosen it up and use some silicon in the back to seal the leak somehow. thanks for any advice.

It's almost impossible to get silicone to stick where the surface has oil on it.

Bite the bullet. Get a ONE Piece oil pan gasket and re-do the job.
It's hard to get the three piece seals to not leak under the best of circumstances (engine out and upside down).

Everyone at one time or another has put one back on that leaks.
Don't sweat it. Just tear it back off and do it again.

Tip: Don't overtighten the oil pan bolts.

You'll get it right this time.
