Oil cooler removal question

If I take the oil cooler off will I be able to just screw the oil filter where it was? I just took the oil cooler off and there's two bolts sticking down and it looks like I won't be able to fit the filter on there.

You need to put a regular spin-on oil fiter adapter in there. It bolts in to the same place with 2 bolts.

Ok, I guess I'll just put the oil cooler back on but disconnect it.
