Gas Gauge; easy fix?

I need to know if this will be an easy fix or really involved. My gas gauge is stuck on E since i bought the car two weeks ago. I would like to know what i should check to get this to work.

It's hard to tell. It might be something as simple as a disconnected wire. The gauge itself might be bad. Or, the sending unit in the tank could be bad, which is one of the ultimate PITA things on these cars.

Take a look at the wires around the tank first; make sure the ground one is hooked up from the tank to the chassis.

Do all the other gauges work? If not, check the gauge fuse.
