PCV replacement hoses

Hello,

I'm doing a complete intake rebuild now, the intake manifold is off. Anyway, the PCV hose that was on the driver's side head was broken, will be replaced. I'm assuming that the line coming out from the passenger side head is also part of the PCV system?

In any event, I'd like to replace that line because there are several 90* connectors that absolutely suck. They are very loose and there was oil and grease and dirt on them when I took them out cause of those bad seals. Would it be ok to put regular soft hose where that solid line was, or to get the same kind of hose that is on the driver's side for each side on the heads?

By the way I got a new JET 180* thermostat and a new MSD GM coil. Can't wait to put it all back together

... I just hope I get the distributor back in properly and she starts up fine! I did mark where the rotor was located on the outside of the distributor, but as this is my first time messing with the whole intake manifold, let's just hope she purrs fine when I crank her up again!

I just used a piece of rubber hose, straight from the carb to the PCV valve. My valve is a 90 degree type rather than a straight one (if they even exist) and the rubber I used was flexible enough to fit on each end without the use of plastic angles, but stiff enough not to kink and block it off.

And yes, the tube from the passenger side rocker cover is part of the PCV system, it's the tube through which the air enters the engine.

Also, with that MSD coil, you may need to switch to a higher current HEI switching module in the distributor. Factory HEI modules are often inadequate for the higher primary current of aftermarket coils.
