L69 w/TPI swap suggestions?

Transmission: 2004R
Axle/Gears: 7.625, 3.73
L69 w/TPI swap suggestions?
I want to put the SD TPI on my '85 L69 (Monte Carlo SS). I'll keep the stock cam and automatic w/3.73's. Other than a custom chip any other suggestions/recommendations (distributor, torque converter, etc)? This will be just a street car.

If your L69 has the stock cam and heads you should try to find a TPI off a 85 TPI 305 with an auto. The computer should already be tuned to that setup. It is a mass air setup. I believe the L69 and the 85 LB9 had the same cam in them. The "soon to be" L98 cam. Only the 85 motors had the flat tappet versions of the L98 cam.
