Just an idea - w/in
I just recently pulled out my air conditioner, and while doing it i thought of replumbing it so that the cold air would go into the engine bay, or even better - your intake system, instead of into the car. Would that be a big enough benefit (having cold air rushing into your intake system), or would the parasitic drag of the compressor be using more power then what the car would gain from the cold air? I wonder if anyone has tried this before.

You guessed it, it would take more energy to cool the intake air than it you'd get from doing it.

Not to mention, you can't legally run your A/C at the track. The condensation from the evaporator leaks on the track, and screws everything up, and may even endanger other racers.
