world products SR heads for 305 on a 350

Just an idea, but If I bought a set of world products SR heads with the 58 CC combustion chambers for my 305 could I use them on a 350 that I swapped later? i noticed they had 1.94 intakes and 1.60 exhausts and the smaller chambers would bump up compression.
I could buy a 350 short block later if these heads would work well.
I am trying to mod my 305 with stuff that i can later use on a 350 that would produce 275 to 300 HP.thanks......bob

there is some thing i don't understand i hear how these heads will flow worst than stock 350 heads.the stock cc numbers are lower than the W/P SR's.stock cast iron runner size 158cc,stock vette heads runner size 166cc.W/P SR torquers runner size 171cc(mite be off a couple cc's on these numbers).you get the higher commpresion of the vette heads with bigger intake runners.

They will fit... whether they are the best head for your situation is the real question.

Stock 305 heads are bad. While WP heads may be a few steps up from stock 305 heads, on a 350 they may be a few behind when compared to stock 350 heads. The CR is going to be high, but that is not the only thing that makes power. Runner size, ratio of intake flow to exhaust flow, chamber shape, chamber volume, valve size, etc. all have an influence.

My suggestion would be to wait on the heads until you have a shortblock to put them on. Heads are too important to try and skimp on. Kind of like the camshaft. Go with some 1.6 roller rockers and maybe a torque converter if you want good thngs to do. Just my $0.02

According to GMHTP, the WP S/R Torquer 305s flow more on the intake than the L98 Vette heads, but worse on the exhaust side. They both have the same size vavles and 58cc chambers. GM puts the L98 Vette heads on it's ZZ4 crate engine that makes 355 hp and 405 lb. ft. of torque.

With some porting on the exhaust side of the WP S/R Torquers, I'm sure they'd feed your engine sufficently.
