??Another acceleration problem??

Ok, here's the deal. With engine at operating temperature, any kind of acceleration past 1/4 throttle results in unsteady acceleration. By this I mean that until I get the engine up to @2500 RPMs it feels like it's shifting from drive to neutral.

The car's a 1990 Pontiac Firebird with the L03 and 700R4.

Any help is appreciated!!

is this happening when you are in overdrive? it could be trying to down shift it and slipping because the tranny is on its way out. those 700r4s are notoriously irritating cause they try to downshift when you are in overdrive anytime you go past like an 1/8 throttle. The slipping into neutral sounds like your clutch pack is going out. my tranny did that when it was dying. I was just driving along in overdrive, go to try and pass someone, slips out and instead of downshifting feels like its in neutral. then gripped. got weaker and weaker until it finally stopped, then it started doing it in 3rd gear until that died.

That sounds very similar. Although, I was thinking the Torque Converter might be trying to take a crap. Any idea?
