Sorry guys, but I am having a brain fart. What is the best way to do the timing on a carbed 350 with HEI, the one in my sig. What way to advance and what is the best initial timing.

Trial and error method. No 'best initial timing exists' because every engine is different. What is your current timing(initial and total)? Mine is running 10 initial and 38 total, but yours will probably be different.
