when they say to use the gascacinch. do you really have to use it? or can i get away without? cuz im eager to install my intake now, but i would have to order the gascacinch.

Don't need it. If you must use it though, don't order it, just go to autozone or any parts store and get gasket remover in the section that sells RTV sealant and thread lock and anti-seize. It should be the same thing.

Gasgacinch is a gasket sealer, not a gasket remover.

just get an anaerobic sealer (something that seals in the absence of oxygen)
