Center caps on '91 RS

I tried this on one of the other boards, but got no response, so maybe someone in here can help out.

As am sure most ppl have had or have this problem. I am trying to figure out if there is a type of spray paint that will be glossy, but not wear off that I can spary on the black caps? Mine are all faded and wearing off. I figured I would tape up the center peice that says camaro on it, and they spray paint the rest, and then I would have shiny new caps again. Is this possible with spray paint? If so, what types wont wear off quickly.

Thanks for the info,
Jay

Its not worth the trouble, you can probably snag a good set from a junkyard for $20. 4'th gens are the same too.

You could use VHT Engine paint - that may work.

Slayer rules, by the way. On and on, south of heaven.

Slayer kicks *** ...

Anyway.. Buy new ones from classic industries, the spiral rim 4thgen caps are exactly the same too.

And some Malibu's and Ventures have Bowtie caps that fit.

yeah i painted the caps on my 90 RS with semi gloss black krylon-looks perfect and very durable-it was worth the trouble but i probably wouldnt do it again-i couldnt get the caps off so i took off the entire wheel and painstakingly spent 6 hrs masking the whole set of wheels. yeah they look perfect-in fact someone asked me if i got new rims . too bad it was 90 and very very humid while i masked them and i was dirty so the tape was a real pita to get to stick
