I got a OEM stock replacement radiator from a local radiator warehouse place for $99. It's the same damn thing my 87Z had in it stock. Been great for over a year, has a 3 year warranty or something I believe. Look for a similar place in your yellow pages...

I just bought one here in Denver for $117. It is lifetime guaranteed and I have read in other posts that they are the best for the money. It is made in Mexico and I believe it is made by Delphi but not sure........bob

Is it aluminum or copper/brass? I bought a SR radiator from them (aluminum with plastic tanks) and it cools just like the original, which it should. I was about to order a Be Cool from Summit (10% discount) when I read this. So, is it copper/brass?

Mine is a standard 19" x 31" chev 3 core rad. It worked fine with the small block but I'm not sure if it has enough cooling capacity for the big block.

I just bought one for 120.00 or something like that. And its the same one as stock has the plastic tanks. The junkyards were asking 125.00 for the same thing. Ive used the three core brass/copper one also from discount auto. It worked great but the car did run about 10 degrees hotter than the stock one. The motor was a warmed over 406.

Whoa, will that radiator fit my 83? My car gets hotter than s h i t when I turn the A/C on during the summer. I really don't wanna buy a Be Cool aluminium unit becuase they're like $590.

Yep AZ is the place to go for cheap reliable radiators. I just checked my 3 core in the 85 and i think its copper not to sure because the out side is black and the inside looks kinda pinkish/red so im betting its copper.
Runs 195ish with a 350hp 350,180d thermostat.

The two I purchased were factory replacement radiators. They both bolted right in..the aluminum one is the same as the factory. I did have a problem with the three core one it was just slightly thicker. Over time the bracket that goes over it that holds the fans. Rubbed against it and after about a year it caused a leak.

I got the stock replacement for my car (around $130 at Advance Auto), and it was the aluminum with plastic tank unit (1 large single core). I have a 170* tstat, and 195* fan switch, and it runs really cool, about 180* according to the highly inaccurate gauge. Bolted right in with the plastic brackets, etc....for the dual fans.

When my friends aluminum/plastic factory radiator went out in his 92 RS convert. I called up a guy I used to work w/ at a radiator shop. He sent us a 3 core, brass/copper radiator, LIFETIME warranty, for $160 even. it fit right in, no mods, and the car runs 10-15* cooler than it ever did before, using the same 180* thermo the whole time.

I picked up a brand new 3-row rad for my daily beater Caprice, for $74 (!!!) at the Zone. The drain plug is on the other side and is awkward to use. Otherwise, it fit right in. It's been in the car for about a year, and is still fine. Made offshore somewhere. The Zone said it was all steel, no copper. Cools well. There is some white stuff forming inside on the tubes, which has me worried a litle bit. Still cools great, though. The brand was GDI.
