quick cam question
If my combo would be an l98 350, with a 750 dp, swapped to vortecs that can take up to 480 lift, and a the comp cams xe 268 cam with the lift of 480 id HAVE to go with 1.5 rockers right? 1.6 would be too much? Thanks for the replys

i wouldn't try running a cam that's .480 lift with springs that can only handle .480 lift... that's pushing it to the limit.

Factory Vortec's with factory springs, i wouldn't go over .450" or so lift. But that's just me and i like to make sure my valve train is completely up to par.

well i was lookin in summit and they have a pair of vortecs for high lift cams that have springs rated to .550 gross lift. Guess it would be safer to go with those.

They are better in many ways. Aside from being machined for more lift, they have screw in studs and, i think, guideplates as well.
