Spark Plug Wires..

I didn't know where to place this so I guess it sorta deals with this section. What spark plug wires do you all think are the best? Can I get a product number also? I've been looking all over and there are so many different sets for chevys and HEIs that I'm very confused. I just want something that i can easily remove the old wires and replace with the new, no fabricating what-so-ever. Thanks.

Head to your local parts store and pick up a stock replacement set for your car. You wont notice a power difference between "high performance" and stock and the stock will fit perfect.

Thats right. Seems like the best way to go to me. A lot of people waste money on things like that.

Are you saying the stock 7mm wires are good enough for a high output coil? I thought the hot coils all needed 8mm or larger wires.

It doesn't hurt to spend a wee bit more and get an upgraded set of wires. I agree that it probably isn't worth going overboard with these things.

But what I would suggest is clicking on the search button. This subject has been massively done to death. Everyone has different opinions. You will very shortly get a whole lot of folks saying that you should get MSD/Taylors, and that Accells suck/no they don't etc etc etc.

I doubt that you'll see much difference between NEW stock wires, and NEW msd/taylors/accell etc but after several years use the better wire will be better than the stock ones. And if you have upgraded coils etc then this difference will become apparant all the sooner.

I usually go to the partstore and buy the lifetime warranty plugwires for every car that I own. I take them off once a year and take them to the parts store, and get a set for free. The nice part of this is that when you mess up and a header burns one, they are free.
