GUYS PLEASE HELP
I swapped from CFI to a carb in my 1983 Z28 and the gauges were comp. controlled can I just find the wires that go from the ECM to the gauges and connect them to the sending units?
What about the alternator, I got a one wire one from Summit and it has a regular two-wire plug in like all the othere ones I have seen what do the two wires go to?

I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT
1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package with 64cc aluminum heads, dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.
future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.

the guages are not run by the computer. You just failed to either hook up the power or ground to your fusepanel or guage cluster.
If you do not have the factory alt wire, then just run an externally regulated model. Sounds like someone removed the driverside wiring from the car when they did not have to.

no the comp is gone. but the wires took a turn from the comp maybe they didn't tie in to it but they went by it. All the comp wires I cut in side the fender and then removed. All i want to know is is it possible to just find the wires that went by the comp to the gauges and hook them up to the sending units? Why should I run an external regulator aren't the one- wires internal regulated? What do the two little wires go to? one to the gauge and the other where?
