How much does toulene boost octane and is it safe for FI?

I have an '89 Iroc-Z and was wondering if I could just go down to the hardware store and pick up a gallon of toulene and pour the whole thing in my tank then fill the rest with 93 octane. I'm hoping that it will clean the injectors and rest of the fuel system as well as boost octane, but how well does it clean and how many octane points will I get? Will it harm the fuel pump, O2 sensor or any other part of the fuel injection system, I have no cat so that wont be a problem? I am just tired of spending $5 on a bottle of cleaner/booster and it not do anything but lighten my wallet!

I know at least I would not use anything that contains alcohol as a booster.
It may damage o-rings/fuel pumps and injectors.

I've used NOS System's OFF ROAD formula....I did notice a SLIGHT change in throttle response and power, but VERY slight....it claimed to be safe for cats and oxy sensors....but i dont think its worth the 10 bucks or so per bottle...i dunno...

it sucks. i found a formula for racing fuel on the net (sorry i cant remember where) that used toluene as a booster. my 11:1 engine knocked and pinged like it was 87 octane
as far as it cleaning the fuel system, sure it may be great. i wouldnt have seen a difference since i have such low time on mine.
