friends camaro running like Sh*t

my friend has either a 85-86 (forgot) camaro, it is the v6, ok he started having these problems about 2 weeks ago, it would miss and sound crazy, it did not smoke or anything, thought it was distributor, and it was not that, replaced all spark plugs and wires, all looked fine, but replaced anyways, still ran the same, then we done a compression test, and only 3 cylinders on one side have compression, btw the car does not smoke a bit, oil looks good, still starts every time, very confused, time for rebuild ? or is it something simple???/ sorry this is so long, we just are stomped on this one, thanks

Agreed... or at the very least, a wiped cam. (no intake lobes, nothing comes in to make compression)

seems kinda weird only one side had compression. also seems like its against the odds for one side of the cam to wear and not the other since they are all different lobes. has anyone messed with the rockers? or the head?

still starts every time
seems like it wouldnt run off 3 cylinders as well cosidering the gap in the firing.

are you sure theres zero compression?

time for rebuild ?
it is the v6
or time for a 350

yes, it does start everytime, and blows completely no smoke, i took it to a mechanics house and he done the compression test, and then he said no compression on 3 cylinders on one side, then he made an offer on how much he'd buy the vehicle from my buddy for, soo that sounded fishy to me
