Top radiator hose collaps

I have a 85 trans am 305 tpi my question is. When I give it gas the top radiator hose will collaps and then return to normal. I heard of the bottum one but the top do I need a spring in the top one to or is it something else

You need a coolant recovery tank. It will suck fluid out of the tank to keep the hose from going flat. See if you can find one with a spring inside also (a top rad hose, not coolant recovery)

Thanks for the reply but I have a recovery tank. Could it be the thermostat isn't opening up far enough just a guess. But it doesn't overheat it just collapses and returns to normal maybe it an old hose. I'm gonna try to find a spring for it any way.
