Ok I just swapped a bigger cam and heads into my 83 camaro and now the oil press fluctuates With a push of the throttle, the motor is not very old less than 7 grand on the motor and parts. The it goes from insanly high to just below average for stock. The car has no computer or emmisons controlls on it. This is something I have not run accross in my past experiences building cars. The motor has only one small oil leak at the front of the pan. Thanks for the help guys

i'd suspect a bad sender, check it out, or just replace it. you might also wamt to check with a mechanical gauge, the factory set up isn't known for being accurate.
