3rd Gen vs. 4th gen specs

Well i decided im gonna start shopping for another iroc tis time a 5 speed. Gonna save up and do the ls1/t56 swap. Was wondering when it was all complete what an estimated curb weight would be on the 3rd gen to the 4th gen. I know it should be lighter but how much lighter are the 3rd gen then the 4th. Also with the ls1/t56 combo in the 3rd gen with a fiberglass would and some lighter suspension pieces would i be lighter then the stock 84-92 corvette?

A SBC and T5 will probably without going into specifics be about the same weight as a LS1/T56. Also 4th gens are quite abit heavier then 3rd gens, about 500lbs or so. My 82 in my sig weighs 3180lbs.

Wow not doubting you but i think there aobut 100pounds lighter. Maybe you have done some weight reduction because your car weighs in close to what the vette weighs.

What weighs 100 less? Yes the LS1 is lighter but the T56 is much heavier then a T5.

4th gens are heavy cars. I don't know about 500lbs more, but my 2000 TA LS1/T56 weighted in at 35xx lbs w/ about 1/4 tank of gas and me in it (I don't weigh much...)
