89 Trans Am for 2500$, is it worth it

I found a 89 trans am for 2500$. The car is in decent shape. it has t-tops, good interior, and good body. The only problem is that it has a radiator leak, needs new heater core, and radio. the car radio was stolen. Also there is a problem with the door locks. It has a 305 with 89000 miles on it. what do you think? is it a good buy? also would i have to buy a new radiator or can it be repaired? and could i survive with the heater until winter? also, how can i tell if it came with the ws-6 package and if it is a GTA? and one more thing, what was the standard options on a 89 trans am.

Green,

The GTA models did not have the active vents in the lower sides of the front fenders. A WS6 car generally has a "Performance Suspension" emblem affixed to the lower right corner of the dash panel on the passengers side, and always has a "WS6" in the RPO codes on the RPO decal in the center console or rear storage compartment.

89,000 miles on an '89 is very reasonable. Have the seller knock $200.00 off for the replacement radio (it's worth asking, anyway) and remind them that the car needs a radiator and core. The power door locks could be an easy fix or tough/expensive one, so you're taking your chances with that. Still, the price seems reasonable if the rest of the car is in good condition.

Sounds good to me, also, does it need tires? Most used cars do and you could ask another $100 off for that even though it will cost $400 depending.
