NEW wires foil on plug wire heat protectors sparking?

I just installed a set of taylor spiro pro 8mm wires. I used those plug wire heat sleeves that have the foil outer coating on them. There are sparks jumping from the foil to the headers and from the foil on one wire to the foil on the others close by. In some places the wires arc to closeby metal. Its not enough spark to shock me but it is visible. Is this affecting the operation of the engine or is it just exess voltage bleeding off. The engine doesnt seem to have a miss. Are these bad wires or is a little sparking common. This happened on the first startup with the new wires.
Thanks for any info

I never really got to the bottom of it. I put that dielectric lube that they sell in the little squeez packet on the plugs and cap terminals and it helped. Other than that I just put the plug wires as far away from metal stuff as I could. The sparking really does not seem to affect the engine so I just live with it. The sparks are small not the big ones that make a cracking sound. I guess the aftermarket HEI is just that powerful.
