White distributor wire on L69
Should there be a white wire going to the distributor on an '84 L69? I have one on my 85 but have had the '84 apart so long I can remeber if there was one and can't find one anywhere that would go to it.

Yes.
It's the tach lead. It should come from the tach filter (little silver can) mounted on the firewall.
