Anyone have any experience with and oil pressure guage going nutty? When I am at idle, mine is reading fine, but as soon as I start upping the RPMs, the guage jumps up and quickly buries itself in the red. Has the guage gone bad, or is it something else?

 

Mines been doing that for years, exact same thing, I think it's just a bad sending unit but I've never been concerned enough about it to fix it.

 

Yup, probably the sending unit, just change it out. Les than $20 and about 5 minutes of work if you're really slow and you hate work like me.
