wiring summit remote starter soilinoid ?

i got a remote starter soilinoid from summit and they didnt send me any instructions or anything. some of it is common sence like i run the main cable from the battery to the soilinoid, then from the otehr side of the soilinoid to the starter. and then the ignition to one of the front terminals? where is the ignition wire anyway? what color is it? i also got a hei proform performace tuneup kit and it has a wiring harness that plugs into the cap. well on the old one there was a little can looking think with a pointed plug on it and the new one has a little white block lookin thing where the old "can" was on it. if u cant tell i have never messed with a distributor. so what do i do? thanks for ur help adn sorry if the distributor thing makes no sence :P

The 'ignition' wire is the purple one on the original starter - it will attach to the 'S' terminal on the remote relay.
You'll also need to extend the red wires from the large post on the starter to reach the remote solenoid as well - they should attach to the same large terminal as the cable coming directly from the battery. The first 6" or so of those wires are your fusible links - DO NOT cut them, but find a way to attach to the ring terminals, and be sure to insulate them to prevent grounding out on the frame or engine.
If the kit didn't include one, you'll have to fab up a jumper of some kind to go between the large terminal on the starter and the terminal that the purple wire originally was on.
