I have a very similar problem (and in an attempt not to steal your thread). What my symptoms are... when I start the car the first time it will blow a puff of smoke (havent distinguished the color yet but looks to be white to me so far) out the exhaust, and idles at around 2 - 3 ticks (I have a Berlinetta, so it's the digital guage), when it get to tick number 2 it sounds like a rod knocks or something it just sounds horrible, and it then dies. Even if I just drive it down the street to the stop sign it will idle funky until I turn the car off and start it up again, and after that it will idle perfect and run perfect.
Are your RPMS similar when idling? I am guessing that it would be around 450RPMS?
