will a stuck valve cause the engine to shake
I just got back from the dyno to ahve some part throttle A/F runs done and they told me that the engine shakes to much at idle to 1500 when they rev it a little bit. They think it migh tbe a stuck valve since because 1: the rockers are VERY quiet. 2:the engine stumbles sometimes when I take off.3: it pops a LOT through the tailpipes.
the engine has about 40 miles on it. it is a 383 hydraulic roller setup. AFR 190 heads, harland sharp 1.5RR.
How true does this sound to you guys, Im not saying the guysat the shop dont know there $hit but I figured I would ask you guys who might have been in these shoes before.
I am gonna pull the covers and loosen them with the car idling and then tighten them back up with a 1/2 turn after 0 lash

Try lowering the initial static timing and work from there. (I'm guessing you haven't tried any other timing settings).
Other than that, have you done a compression test? A leaking valve, whether it be stuck or not seating completely, would cause for a lower compression figure for that specific cylinder.
