Removing engine oil cooler

How do you remove the engine oil cooler from the block? Does it screw off just like the filter? I've already tried that without much luck. Hopefully I'm missing something.

There are two bolts that hold the engine oil cooler -adapter- to the block. It is held on just like the oil filter adapter is, but with longer bolts. 10mm or so as I recall.

I'm not completely sure if this is what you're asking about.
If you are talking about the pot-metal adapter that allows the oil cooler hoses to attach to the same piece that the oil filter attaches to, then you need to remove the two bolts I mentioned above.

I've since figured it out. If i would have just taken more than 2 mins to look before i posted then i could have figured it out. It turns out there's a large, thin nut sitting underneath where the oil filter screws onto the oil cooler.
