cam choice

i'm going to be building a 350 for my 84 z28, and like usual i can't decide on a cam. the car will mainly be a strip/cruise car. i'd like to get under 8 secongs in the 1/8. i have 041 heads, the block is an 87 2 bolt main block. I would like to shift at about 6000. i have a th350 trans built up with a pretty high stall but i don' know what exactly. do you think the comp XE284 would be a good choice?

Your gonna need better heads to get uner 8 seconds mostly likely...or get yours proffesional ported and flowed.

The XE284 would still be making good power 5,500-6,500, and those heads would be pretty much 'done' making power.
