Car wont start

Just suddenly today.

I drove it for a good 45 minutes, and while sitting in a parking lot when i came back it wouldnt start...

So i let it be for a bit and tried to start it and it started up fine...

so i go to another store park it... when i arrive back (10 min lateR) it wont start again...

i dont hear it crank, i dont hear any noises when i turn the key except for a relay in the lower left drivers side kick panel engaging. I am thinking it is either the relay or the ignition coil. Battery is good alternator is brand new.

305 TPI Msd Ignition Coil, new fuel pump, new IAC

Any ideas? Currently its in a best buy parking lot.... ill be going back out there within the hour....

Hello HamSpiced,

The relay you hear in the kick panel is the starter enable relay. Have you looked at the ignition module. Good luck with it!!

The ignition module is located in the distributor underneath the pick-up coil. The ignition coil has a two wire connector that plugs into it. If it goes bad, it often times will work when it is cool and fail when it is hot. This is often caused by not insulating the base of the module with that special grease that acts as a heat sink. You can get this module tested at most auto parts stores. BTW, when the car wouldn't start did the security light (VATS) stay on until you released the key?
